Three Camps in Three Weeks

Wow! I just got back yesterday from three camps in direct sequence. I was pretty tired. :-p

The first one was Camp Raven Knob, a Boy Scout camp near Hickory, NC. I took the Photography/Cinematography, Wilderness Survival, Swimming, and First Aid Merit Badge classes. I was able to witness to at least three people, as well as planting a lot of seeds I believe for the concept of God as the Creator, etc. One boy named Jacob was really interested in dinosaurs, and seemed fascinated to learn that the Bible was not only compatible with science, but actually does a far better job of explaining life, fossils, and so on, than what he had been taught in school about the "millions of years." The LORD also gave me some great friends who loved the YCLA ideas. :-)

The second camp was Drama Camp at Bob Jones University. I learned a huge amount on speech and presentational skills, as well as having an enormous amount of fun and great spiritual input. We did a play at the end of the week. Ron Pyle, who played Yuri in The Printing, was the Director, which was really cool! There were a lot of possible YCLA contacts there as well.

The third camp, ending yesterday, was Harvest Time Bible Camp. I went at the last minute as a Junior Counselor. It was an amazing experience helping younger kids and being such an inspiration to some of them. In the whole week there were probably a dozen to two dozen people who gave their lives to Christ, including three from my cabin. One boy, who found out about the YCLA and was amazed to see me so excited about something like that, was saved in the service the last night I think. One of his friends also stood up at the campfire that evening and said that he "would use his life to go around telling people about Jesus." :-D

Please pray for all these kids and young people I have met over the last few weeks to grow in the LORD however they need to and not lose sight of God's purpose for their lives. Also, keep praying for me too!

Update all around

Well, I found a good idea for the Ron Paul campaign on a blog called "Nation Builder." It is that Ron Paul should challenge McCain to a debate, in return for donating 1 million dollars to his favorite charity in return. Check it out!

Also, while I had not been looking forward to diving into the Chuck Baldwin campaign myself, I suddenly realized that because of my office in the SC Constitution Party I have a responsibility to work to organize stuff for Chuck Baldwin in South Carolina at least. Somehow God keeps pointing me back to the political field, even when I try to do other things. :-) So I contacted the national campaign, and they told me their main strategy right now is getting Ron Paul meetup groups on board.

I will Lord-willing be working with Ted Adams on an email to circulate, to the effect of, "Which general election Presidential candidate actively campaigned for Ron Paul in South Carolina?" (answer: Chuck Baldwin) and "Which political party provided the most support for Ron Paul?" (answer: Constitution Party). I also made a temporary site for myself and whoever wants to use it until they get Chuck Baldwin's permanent site up: www.Baldwin2008.weebly.com. I might get a more official-sounding address for it later.

With the YCLA, we are hoping to begin going door-to-door for the Answers Magazines soon.

It looks like gold and silver are moving back up again. They were down for a while, but it is inevitable that they will keep going up overall. (Check the spot price ticker on the left-hand column for continuous updates.)

Differential Gears from 80 B.C.? etc.

I found an interesting webpage the other day which seems to indicate conclusively that 1. Ancient humans were much smarter than most of science gives them credit for, and/or 2. Modern dating methods are completely off track.

My personal belief is that the pre-Flood world probably had certain technologies normally thought of as relatively new - why should they not have? And, they of course would have passed down some information about their technologies. Most of the information would have been lost, however, after the dispersion of Babel, and it certainly would have been destroyed as the Middle Ages began.

If you view the site, please read it with that in mind. (What I am saying is I do not believe in space aliens, which is what that site leans towards.)

Drink Lemon Juice!

I had been feeling like a piece of fried chicken for some time now, which is one reason I didn't start posting here again sooner. However, yesterday I re-discovered in the fridge some lemon juice I bought a few weeks ago. Wow! A couple swigs of it, and my focus and energy seemed to boost right up! I have been drinking it on and off today and have done much better in my schoolwork, etc.

When I looked at the sidebar of this site here, I couldn't believe how uninteresting it looked. So, I re-did it and I think it turned out better. Please tell me what you think. :-)

Please do also try drinking lemon juice. I recommend buying the "ReaLemon" concentrate brand, but some people like to just squeeze their lemons. If you do that it will be more sour.

This post happens to be the bicentennial one. This means that we have been online at this site a long time now! I am glad God has enabled us to use the Internet to promote His principles, and glorify Him and His work, all over the world.
