Ron Paul's report on the Rally For the Republic

Dear friends,

What a thrilling week we've just had - three days of wonderful events, culminating in the great Rally for the Republic on September 2, which C-SPAN2 covered in its entirety. Americans got to hear more truth in our one day in Minneapolis than in decades' worth of standard political conventions.

I hope you were as impressed with the speakers and the performances as I was. The day reaffirmed for me that the movement on behalf of our philosophy is blessed with brains, talent, and nerve.

If you missed it, we'll be making the whole thing available soon. In the meantime, you can watch whatever speakers you'd like to see right here.

Now it's time to turn to the hard work of the Campaign for Liberty. We have our work cut out for us. Our economic woes are being foolishly blamed on the free market. The federal government is taking over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as those of us with any sense feared it would. We face the looming prospect of still more wars: with Iran, Russia, and now Pakistan. We need to inject some sanity into these debates.

Right now, though, I wish simply to thank you for all your sacrifices and hard work. Just when I think I cannot be any more amazed by your commitment to our ideas, you go and surprise me again. I deeply appreciate your devotion to our cause.

Remember one of the most important things our presidential campaign proved: there are millions of us out there. If 1.2 million Americans voted for our ideas in a Republican primary, think of how many more there must be.

We are not alone. We know that now. And when it comes to energy, creativity, and enthusiasm, our side wins hands down. I know these will be our secret weapons as we keep up the fight in these dark times to restore our republic, and to see peace and prosperity transformed from a campaign slogan into a way of life.

Please, recruit one more person to the Campaign for Liberty today.

With my deepest gratitude,

A video from Buddy Witherspoon

Senator Lindsey Graham receives award from La Raza for promoting the "pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens" and defending the best interests of the Hispanic community. La Raza in English means "The Race", and they are widely viewed as a racist organization. Senator Graham crossed the line on March 6th 2007 when he accepted an award from this organization and in his keynote address at La Raza's Awards Dinner called you a "Bigot" and said that you need to "shut up" if you were against his Comprehensive Immigration (Amnesty) Reform Bill. REAL-ID subcommittee videos

Here are some more videos of the REAL-ID battle from last spring. I think these are the ones of the subcommittee hearing. My Dad just uploaded them today for the people working in Pennsylvania. From Josiah

Codex-Killing

We went to a meeting in Asheville on the Codex Alimentarius Commission yesterday. This commission, an arm of the World "Health" Organization and FAO (which both are UN bodies), is in a position to make all alternative medicine illegal by the beginning of 2010. This category includes all foods eaten for health purposes. For more information, visit HealthFreedomUSA.com. Or, you may view a brief commentary written by my sister at Wilderness-Scout.blogspot.com.

We video-taped the event, and Lord-willing will be working with the sponsors (Dr. Rima Laibow and her husband) to create a DVD on this subject. From Josiah

Washington and Moore...

What a great time! What shall I do to put our trip and the conference in words for you?

First, we stopped in DC. We walked all the way from our parking spot behind the Lincoln Memorial to the Library of Congress and back - more than four miles! In between, we saw the Korean War memorial, the World War II memorial, the Washington Monument, the Smithsonian, the National Mall, the Capitol, and so on. We even got a tour of the early history of flight at the National Aeronautics and Space Museum!

Of course, the best part of the trip was hearing people like David Whitney and Roy Moore and Mike Peroutka talk about (and discuss personally with them!) God and government, and the need for acknowleging God.

The worldview of liberty, as these men wonderfully proclaimed, is one of trust in the Creator. As Fredrick Bastiat wrote, "Liberty is the acknowledgement of faith in God and His works."

Although we were not allowed to videotape the conference at the church, we were able to capture the events at the park in a great way.

My favorite part was seeing so many young people... and playing volleyball, and giving them my card with this web address! :-) So if you are Nathan or Curtis or Daniel or Beth, (or if you were there but I didn't learn your name...) you are given a special welcome here. Please e-mail me at rjmpilgrim@aol.com if you would like to help with the Young Leaders' concept discussed in the below post.

A bunch of the speakers also received cards.

IOTC was already in our LibertyInLaw list, but now I am more excited than ever about it.

Praise God!

REAL-ID DVDs

We just got out a whole bunch (15 actually) of DVDs regarding the recent REAL-ID battle! We were given donations for nine of them, and six we gave away free to key speakers and activists (at the Chuck Baldwin conference.) Thanks a lot to Pastor Romo for announcing the DVDs. :-)

There will certainly be more of these to come in the next week, hopefully an even better (and more professional-looking) edition.

It may be that a guy from the AFTF network, Sam Ettaro, will be able to do a full feature-film style video for us and them. We would have to work out the details of that though.

YouTube links

Here are the videos of the Aeronautics amendment debate. They are split up since YouTube only lets one post ten-minute segments.
