Naming the Newsletter

We have been thinking lately about what to call our YCLA newsletter.

Our first main concept was something having to do with battle or militarism. "The Battle Cry" is already taken, however, as well as several others like it. Besides, with the events which have gone down in the last couple weeks, we have decided to let slide the militaristic theme at least for a while.

The next idea was one having to do with Biblicism or Sola Scriptura, but we realized it would be very wierd having a bunch of youngsters claiming to have "one up" on all the supposed scholars. A title with that implication would appear proud and vastly arrogant. After all, we do not want to get ourselves in the mode of never being able to learn new things, or thinking that we have somehow got a handle on it all.

I thought about "The Pilgrim." This title, though, is rather trite and does not describe us.

Another thought was "The Bible Investor." But does that one even make sense? It doesn't really describe us anyway.

The YCLA is about civil stuff in relation to God and freedom. So my last idea was "The Heavenly Citizen." In order to make it more onomonapaic, I tried "The Celestial Citizen."

I believe that is a good name for us. If you have any thoughts or comments, leave them here or e-mail me at rjmpilgrim@aol.com. Thanks!
